Officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) questioned in investigation concerning the disappearance of Pamela Ling.

Investigators from MACC interrogate four officers in search for information on Pamela Ling's missing case.

In the ongoing investigation of the alleged kidnapping of Pamela Ling, a woman aged 42, multiple suspects have been identified. According to recent reports, eight individuals are believed to be involved in the incident, including two individuals who were seen in CCTV footage wearing police vests[1][2][4].

The vehicle believed to be involved in Ling's alleged abduction was traced to Bukit Kayu Hitam, a town in Kedah near the Thai border[1][4]. The investigation has uncovered that five vehicles were involved in the incident, with three of them using cloned number plates[1][4].

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) had opened an investigation into Ling and her husband, Thomas Hah, in May last year for alleged corruption and money laundering offenses[2]. In a statement to the Dewan Rakyat, Saifuddin mentioned that 48 witness statements have been recorded in the investigation involving Ling[2].

Intriguingly, four MACC officers who were directly involved in investigating Ling have also given statements as part of the current investigation[1][2]. The MACC chief Azam Baki previously stated that Ling was a witness in a money laundering investigation[5].

The case is being investigated under Section 365 of the Penal Code, which pertains to abduction or wrongful confinement[1][3]. The authorities are finalizing investigation papers to be submitted to the Attorney-General’s Chambers for further instructions[1][2][3][5].

Despite the ongoing investigation, Ling's whereabouts remain unknown as of the latest updates in August 2025[1][2][3][5]. It is worth noting that no ransom demand has been received during the course of the investigation[1][2][3]. The police and other enforcement agencies, including the Immigration Department, continue to cooperate in the case[1][2][3].

Sangeet Kaur Deo, Ling's lawyer, provided information about the location of one of the vehicles[4]. The investigation is ongoing, and the public is urged to cooperate with the authorities in providing any relevant information that could lead to the resolution of this case.
