Investigation Underway for Strange Theft of Ram's Bucking HEMI Ride at RoadKill Nights Gathering
Stolen Mechanical Bull Ride: Ram's Bucking HEMI Recovered
In an unexpected turn of events, the Bucking HEMI mechanical bull ride, a star attraction at the MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge, was initially reported stolen during the disassembly of the event on Woodward Avenue in downtown Pontiac, Michigan, on the evening of Saturday, August 9, 2025.
The large and heavy mechanical bull, adorned with a massive Ram head on the front, made its first appearance at the Michigan International Speedway in June. Tens of thousands of fans flocked to the festival, which featured street-legal drag racing, various competitions, a midway, and vendors, to witness the spectacle.
The apparent theft caused quite a stir, but it was soon discovered that the mechanical bull was taken by one of the event's contractors without informing anyone. Ram has since filed a report about the incident with the Pontiac police and is requesting tips on the matter through its Ram social media.
Mary Conway, a professional automotive journalist with decades of experience, covered the incident. Conway, who has spent more than twenty years covering the Detroit Three for the ABC affiliate in Detroit, took to Twitter to share updates on the situation.
