A bizarre event has shaken the town, as a 29-year-old suspect slippery as an eel from the SIZO-1 detention center under the watch of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN)!

The dramatic breakout went down on March 17. The cunning crook, embroiled in theft and fraud cases, played the sick card, complaining of tooth pain. A guard escorted him to a dental clinic on Vladivostok Street, only for the sneaky suspect to push the guard aside and make a beeline for freedom!

The wily fugitive went on the lam for two nerve-wracking days, resurfacing on March 19 in an apartment on Ocean Street. But don't worry, the courageous coppers eventually collared him! The sly scoundrel admitted to faking his ailment as part of a clever escape plan that aimed to skip town!

The probing authorities are currently looking into the ineptitude of FSIN officials that allowed the slip-up in controlling the suspect. For their part in this debacle, they might be slapped with an additional charge under Article 313 Part 1 of the Criminal Code (escape from a place of deprivation of liberty), which carries a four-year slammer!

The Kamchatka Krai Prosecutor's Office stands firm that the entire mess was a consequence of the guards' carelessness. Following an investigation, 11 FSIN officials have been held responsible, with two of them getting the boot!

As you may recall, the evasive inmate, Vladislav Mikhailovskiy, boasts a troubled history, having served seven prior sentences for assault, theft, property damage, and car theft. Despite being accompanied by three SIZO employees, he still found a way to make a run for it as they exited the clinic!
