School Soon Under Investigation Following Suspected Chemical Attack

The police are currently investigating a chemical spray incident at a Neubrandenburg school that left several children hospitalized with respiratory issues. Authorities have collected and analyzed clothing items from three affected students, as the strong smell from their garments raised concerns about a potentially harmful substance. The items were carefully packaged and sent to the State Criminal Police Office for further examination.

It is believed that an unknown group sprayed an unidentified chemical substance that caused the respiratory problems in the pupils, leading to the initiation of an investigation into dangerous bodily harm. A total of 47 children were evaluated by rescue teams and doctors following the incident.

As the investigation deepens, authorities have been unable to discover any evidence or peculiar objects during their search of locked cabinets within the comprehensive school. Interviews with school staff and students are currently underway to collect any potential leads and minimize disruption to ongoing educational activities.

Last week, a similar incident occurred at the North Primary School in Neubrandenburg, in which four children were transported to the hospital due to breathing difficulties. At this point, a connection between the two incidents remains unclear.

In response to these events, it is imperative for emergency response protocols to be reviewed and updated in schools to ensure students are well-equipped to respond effectively in such circumstances. It is a concerning situation that another school has recently experienced this sort of incident.

Although the specific substance used in these chemical attacks is yet to be identified, it underscores the importance of emergency preparedness and ongoing coordination between schools, emergency services, and local authorities to protect the well-being of students.
