More than 150 emergency workers and 44 units of special equipment have been deployed for rescue and flood mitigation efforts. Authorities prepared temporary accommodation centers with about 100 places for displaced residents, with stories of people evacuated using rescue assistance due to strong water flow. Storm warnings remain active, forecasting continued heavy precipitation, hail, thunderstorms, and high winds in the region, especially in the Kuban area and Black Sea coastlines.
The governor of the Tuapse district, Venjamin Kondratyev, declared a state of emergency due to the flooding in the Krasnodar region. The declaration was made on the platform Telegram.
