In a series of shocking developments, four individuals have been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department for their suspected involvement in a burglary crew that has targeted celebrities and athletes across Southern California.

The latest high-profile victim of this crime wave was actor Brad Pitt, whose Los Feliz home was burglarised on June 26. Video footage from Pitt's security cameras played a key role in identifying the suspects. The group, which includes two 18-year-old men, Jaquory Arman Watson and Damari Zair Charles, allegedly scaled the security fence, smashed a window, and ransacked the house, looking for valuables.

The burglars are believed to be connected to multiple break-ins across the region, including the homes of soccer star Olivier Giroud, actress Nicole Kidman, and Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, among others. Actors Nicole Kidman and musician Keith Urban, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Jennifer Aniston, Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto and his teammates Max Muncy and Freddie Freeman, and LAFC striker Olivier Giroud have all been victims of burglaries over the past two years.

The suspects were apprehended in South Los Angeles' 77th Division. Charges connected to the break-in at Brad Pitt's house are expected to be announced this week. The burglars left with property, but the police have not publicly disclosed what was taken.

Two other juveniles have been apprehended and are connected to the burglary ring, but their potential ties to the break-in at Brad Pitt's house are not immediately clear. It is not immediately clear if the defendants have hired or been assigned attorneys to speak on their behalf. They are currently detained at Theo Lacy Facility in Orange County.

The burglary occurred while Pitt was on a promotional tour for his latest movie, "F1." The men are charged with first-degree burglary, with a possible sentencing enhancement for committing the crime in concert with another person, in connection with a heist not involving Brad Pitt.

These arrests mark a significant step in the ongoing investigation and offer a glimmer of hope for the many victims of these burglaries. The LAPD continues to urge vigilance and encourages anyone with information related to these crimes to come forward.
