Introducing the Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C Comp for 2025 - Latest add-on in firearm innovation.
Springfield Armory Introduces Compact Model of Echelon 4.0C Comp
In 2023, Springfield Armory, an American firearms company, introduced the Echelon, a modern striker-fired pistol with innovative features. Fast forward to 2024, and the company expanded its Echelon lineup with the introduction of the compact model, the Echelon 4.0C Comp.
The Echelon 4.0C Comp shares several features with other Echelons, such as a modular Central Operating Group fire control unit, bilateral controls for full ambidexterity, a Melonite finish on metal components, an optics-ready slide that uses the VIS system, and a tritium front sight and Tactical Rack U-notch rear.
One of the standout features of the Echelon 4.0C Comp is its integral compensator. The compensator, located at the top of the barrel and with a port machined into the slide, directs gases upward to control muzzle rise and allow for quicker follow-up shots. The front sight of the pistol is mounted behind the slide port.
The Echelon 4.0C Comp, initially introduced as a full-sized duty pistol, is now available in a compact model. The pistol has the same weight as the original 4.0 (24 ozs) and mimics its dimensions, with an overall length of 7.25", height of 5.13", and a 4" barrel.
The Echelon 4.0C Comp is offered with various magazine options, including a flush-fit 15-round magazine. The pistol can be purchased with options for two 15-round magazines, one 15-round and one extended 18-round magazine, or two 10-round magazines.
The MSRP of the Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C Comp is $749. The popularity of the Echelon led to Springfield expanding the lineup, offering compact models and finish options.
Springfield has also added integrally compensated options to models from the Prodigy to the Hellcat, demonstrating the company's commitment to innovation and performance. In 2025, Springfield is offering this option on its compact Echelons, including the new Springfield Echelon 4.0C Comp.
