Interview with Paranoia Inducta: 'Music devoid of emotion merely stands as a hollow vessel'
Paranoia Inducta, the brainchild of Anthony Armageddon Destroyer, has been a fixture in the dark and industrial music scene for over two decades. The project, which started in the late 90s, was born out of Armageddon Destroyer's teenage years spent playing in Heavy-Metal bands and his growing fascination with Industrial and Dark-Ambient music.
The music of Paranoia Inducta is built around a conceptual theme, much like a story with a beginning and an end. Each album is a testament to this narrative approach, offering a unique sonic journey for listeners.
Armageddon Destroyer's side project, Panzerkampf, also made its debut in the music scene. Known for its heavy, raw, and brutal sound, Panzerkampf's music is categorised as Black-Industrial, with no room for Ambient soundscapes or pleasant vocals. The duo, which evolved from a band after some line-up changes and a series of ups and downs, is expected to release its next album next year.
Armageddon Destroyer's approach to music is meticulous. He strives to make every project as polished as possible, but is never 100% satisfied with any album he releases. To maintain focus and keep himself grounded, he researches and reads deeply on the themes before translating them into music.
The journalist working for Side-Line Magazine, Inferno Sound Diaries, has been with the publication for over 30 years and is the main reviewer for the publication. Known for their eclectic, unconventional taste, they prefer to seek out the pearls in new, unknown bands, staying loyal to Side-Line's philosophy of nurturing new talents.
Paranoia Inducta and Panzerkampf's albums are released through Heerwegen Tod Production. For those interested in supporting independent journalism, Side-Line Magazine is currently seeking donations.
In addition to his work with Paranoia Inducta and Panzerkampf, Armageddon Destroyer is collaborating with Robert Marciniak, formerly of Rukkanor, on a new project called Needful Things. As Armageddon Destroyer continues to evolve and push boundaries in the dark and industrial music scene, fans can look forward to more innovative and captivating music in the future.
The music produced by Paranoia Inducta, incorporating themes and narratives, serves as an intriguing and immersive journey for the listeners within the entertainment realm. On the contrary, Armageddon Destroyer's duo, Panzerkampf, delivers a raw, heavy, and brutal sound that falls under the Black-Industrial genre, offering a stark contrast to the ambient melodies and vocals.
