Internet sensation DanTDM launches new video game music series on our platform
New Radio Series "Next Level with DanTDM" Debuts on Classic FM
Get ready, gaming enthusiasts! The highly-anticipated radio series, "Next Level with DanTDM," is set to air every Saturday night at 9pm, starting on January 11, 2025, on Classic FM and its official app, Global Player.
DanTDM, one of the world's most successful YouTube gamers with over 29 million subscribers, will be hosting this exciting new venture. With more than 20 billion views across his content online, DanTDM's passion for gaming and music is undeniable.
Having studied music production at university and worked in video games for the past 15 years, DanTDM is no stranger to the world of music. He expressed his excitement about the series, stating, "Next Level with DanTDM is a celebration of the meeting of my two passions: video games and classical music."
Each week, DanTDM will delve into some of the greatest gaming soundtracks, featuring titles like The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy VII, The Elder Scrolls V, Street Fighter II, and Minecraft. The series will run until Easter, with new episodes broadcast every Saturday from 9-10pm on Classic FM, the website, and Global Player.
Classic FM has been a significant supporter of the video game music (VGM) genre for some time now. In 2012, VGM entered the Classic FM Hall of Fame, the world's biggest annual survey of classical music tastes. The radio station also broadcast the UK's first radio series dedicated to VGM, called "High Score," back in 2017.
"Next Level with DanTDM" can be accessed on the website and Global Player, as well as on smart speaker, 100-102 FM, DAB+ digital radio, and TV, and at ClassicFM.com. Each program will be available on catch-up for seven days on Global Player.
