International Tennis Federation gains new leader in Ross Hutchins, formerly of Britain.

British Tennis Veteran Ross Hutchins to Lead International Tennis Federation

Ross Hutchins, a renowned British tennis player and former Olympian, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), effective from the end of October 2025.

Hutchins, 40, brings a wealth of experience to the ITF, having represented Great Britain's Davis Cup team in four ties between 2008 and 2012. He also represented Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics. Since retiring from tennis, he has held multiple executive roles with the ATP Tour, most recently as the Chief Sporting Officer.

In his new role at the ITF, Hutchins will oversee the federation’s strategic direction, global operations, and development efforts. He will lead the growth of major tennis events such as the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup, manage tennis and wheelchair tennis at the Olympics and Paralympics, and oversee player pathways through the ITF Tours (Juniors, World Tennis Tour, Masters, Beach, and Wheelchair).

Hutchins expressed his excitement about the breadth of work the ITF undertakes and its goal to drive the sport forward. He stated, "My goal is to maintain the sport as a game for life that all fans can enjoy. I am honored to join the ITF and look forward to this new challenge."

ITF President David Haggerty expressed delight in welcoming Ross as the new CEO, stating, "Ross brings the leadership, vision, and experience needed to deliver on the ITF's mission for the benefit of players, fans, and nations around the world." Haggerty believes that under Ross Hutchins' leadership, the ITF aims to protect and grow tennis worldwide at every level.

Hutchins is replacing Kelly Fairweather, who announced his resignation after nine years at the ITF. He will work closely with the president, board, tennis family, partners, and member nations of the ITF to ensure the sport continues to thrive both domestically and internationally.

The ITF, known for organizing the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup, has built strong momentum in digital innovation, restructuring of tours, introduction of a balanced calendar, and the growth of wheelchair tennis. With Hutchins at the helm, the ITF is expected to continue this trajectory, ensuring the continued growth and accessibility of tennis worldwide.

Sports, being a crucial part of Hutchins' career, will continue to be a focus in his new role as CEO of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). Given his extensive background in tennis, including representing Great Britain in Davis Cup ties and the Olympics, Hutchins plans to prioritize the growth and accessibility of tennis events under his leadership, such as the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup.
