In the dynamic world of women's volleyball, the performances of Vietnamese players have been making waves, despite the absence of a comprehensive, authoritative global ranking for the 2025 season.

The women's team of Việt Nam made history by winning their first SEA V.League title, defeating Thailand in a thrilling five-set showdown on August 10. This victory marks a significant turning point in the region's volleyball hierarchy.

Leading the charge for Việt Nam was opposite spiker Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền, who is ranked 16th globally and tops the Asian rankings for opposite spikers. Her stellar performance has placed her ahead of Vi Thị Như Quỳnh, who is ranked 86th among opposite spikers worldwide.

Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền's impressive ranking is not the only accolade for the Vietnamese team. Libero Nguyễn Khánh Đang is ranked 27th globally and is the best libero in Asia. Her defensive prowess contributed significantly to the team's success.

Despite their outstanding performances, neither Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh, nor Nguyễn Khánh Đang appear in any of the identified top collegiate, conference, or international honours or statistical leaderboards from the 2025 season. This lack of documentation in current sources suggests that they are not recorded among top international or collegiate-ranked players in the 2025 volleyball season.

The absence of a consolidated global player ranking for the 2025 season is not unique to the Vietnamese players. Sources such as the NCAA DI Women's Volleyball rankings, conference awards, tournament MVPs, and statistical leaderboards from smaller collegiate divisions do not indicate Vietnamese players or global top rankings.

As we look towards the future, the performances of these Vietnamese volleyball stars suggest a new era for Vietnamese women's volleyball on the world stage. The updated rankings, while not officially recognised, serve as a testament to their hard work and dedication.
