International Soccer Tournament Continues: Weber Fails to Secure a Medal Due to Illness

In the rainy conditions of Tokyo, the World Athletics Championships saw a mix of triumph and disappointment for German athletes. One of the most notable performances came from Julian Weber, the javelin thrower, who failed to secure a medal.

Weber, who won the European Championships title in Munich three years ago, struggled with his throws from the start of the competition. Despite making a bold statement with a leap of 87.21 meters in Tokyo, clearing the qualification hurdle easily, his performance in the final fell short. He finished fifth with a throw of 86.11 meters, missing the bronze medal by a narrow margin.

Anderson Peters of Grenada won the silver medal with a throw of 88.16 meters, while Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago clinched the gold with an impressive throw of 93.90 meters.

Weber's performance was affected by a recent illness, which also kept him bedridden for a week. His coach, Burkhard Looks, advised him to relax, sit down, and focus on involving his legs, but his advice did not help.

Meanwhile, another German high jumper, Imke Onnen, secured her spot in the final, clearing 1.88 meters. Christina Honsel, another high jumper, also qualified for the final and can still dream of an Olympic medal. The German Athletics Federation has three silvers after six days of the World Championships.

Unfortunately, Caroline Joyeux, the German triple jumper, finished 10th in her World Championship final debut. She fell short of her personal best and qualification distance by 45 centimeters and 19 centimeters respectively. The rainy conditions in Tokyo affected her performance in the women's triple jump final.

Leyanis Pérez Hernández of Cuba won the women's triple jump with a leap of 14.94 meters. Curtis Thompson of the USA won the bronze medal.

Despite Weber's disappointing result, his determination and past achievements at the European Championships offer hope for future global events. The search results do not provide information about which doctor or trainer treated and advised Julian Weber in the past.
