International Pankration Tournament Held in Omsk with Support from the Titan Security Company
Weekend Thrills at Omsk: The Gold-Studded Pankration Fray
Last weekend, on May 3rd and 4th, the prestigious international Pankration tournament, the "Cup of the Golden Helmet," went down on the Omsk Velodrome track. Over 200 top fighters from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus locked horns in this battle for prizes.
This year, for the first time, athletes from Belarus, as well as those hailing from Yakutia and Buryatia, joined the fray. Helping to make this event possible was Titan Group, a powerful investor in Omsk region, serving as the tournament's main sponsor and the general partner of the Russian Pankration Federation in Omsk since 2023.
In the grand finale, Omsk fighters bagged 26 gold, 18 silver, and 18 bronze medals. Arslan Gadzhiev from Surgut claimed the "Best Fighter of the Tournament" title in the over 95kg weight category, while Aigylchán Martynov from Yakutsk took home the prize for Best Technique.
The Omsk Orthodox Military-Patriotic Club "Desantnik" nabbed first place among the 22 participating teams, earning the coveted "Cup of the Golden Helmet." These victors now look forward to showcasing their might once again at the 29th international "Cup of the Golden Helmet - Memory of Vladimir Zborovsky," slated for December 5-7 in Omsk.
