George Enescu International Festival 2023: Sinfonia Varsovia to Open, Star-Studded Lineup Awaits
The George Enescu International Festival, one of Europe's most prestigious classical music events, is set to return to Sibiu, Romania, from September 2 to 21, 2023. This year's theme, "Anniversaries," marks 70 years since the death of George Enescu, the festival's namesake and a renowned Romanian composer and violinist.
Sinfonia Varsovia, a Polish chamber orchestra renowned for its versatility and high artistic standards, will open the festival with a concert on September 2. Conductor Marta Gardolińska will lead the orchestra, with pianist Rafał Blechacz as the featured soloist.
