International Multi-Cultural Football Event
Filderstadt, a vibrant city in Germany, is set to participate in the nationwide "Intercultural Week" for the tenth year running. The week-long celebration, marking its 50th anniversary, kicks off on September 20th with an opening event at the Bonlanden Uhlberghalle at 7 PM.
Mayor Christoph Traub will deliver the welcoming speech at this event, setting the tone for a week filled with cultural exchange and unity.
Throughout the week, a series of engaging activities have been planned. On Monday, September 22nd, the exhibition "Look at Me - Face of a Flight" will be opened at the Bonlanden Liebfrauenkirche at 7 PM. This exhibition promises to be a thought-provoking exploration of the human experience.
For those seeking a more interactive experience, family drumming will take place in the Aula of the Bernhausen Bruckenackerschule on September 21st from 11 AM to 1 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity for families to come together and create music.
For those with a green thumb, a garden rally is scheduled in Sielmingen on September 21st from 2 PM to 6 PM, with the meeting point behind the Pestalozzischule at Seestraße 22.
On the same day, "Creative Fun and Play Adventure" will be offered for all schoolchildren at the Sielmingen Pestalozzischule from 4 PM to 6 PM. This event promises to be a fun-filled afternoon of creative activities.
For those who enjoy sports, an intercultural football tournament will take place at the SV Bonlanden on Saturday, September 27th, starting at 10 AM. Registration is required at 0152 / 11 73 55 15.
A trip to the Uhlberg Tower is planned for Thursday, September 25th, with a "Grill and Chill" at the meeting point (Waldenbucher Straße 7 parking lot) at 4 PM. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful city of Filderstadt while socializing with others.
In addition to these events, various languages will be read aloud in Sielmingen as part of the "Intercultural Week". A clothing exchange will also be available in the Filderstadt city library from during the Intercultural Week until October 11th, during regular opening hours.
The Filderstadt Asylum Working Group will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, September 23rd, from 6 PM to 8 PM. For those interested in literature, "My Fairytale Book Design - Design like 1001 Nights" will be hosted at the city library in Bernhausen on September 20th.
Lastly, the Manga-Day will take place at the Filderstadt city library on Saturday, September 27th, from 10 AM to 2 PM, offering a day of manga-related activities for fans of this popular art form.
