International Film Festival "BUD! Russia" grants award to film titled "Bažov. Resilient Time"

Holy smokes! The flick "Bazhov. Borrowed Time", produced by the Bazhov Fund, scored big at the International "BE THERE! Russia" film fest held in Kronstadt from June 12 to 15. The film snatched the top spot in the "Feature Film" category.. Infantry duties were taken care of by Sergei Poluganov, the film's general producer and Bazhov Fund chief, who received the winner's diploma and statuette.
In all, twelve films earned recognition in categories such as "Debut", "Experimental Film", "Russia Through Foreign Eyes", "Short Film", "Documentary Film", and "President's Prize". The film was supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, and prior to this win, it bagged the "Best Screenplay" prize at the 18th Cheboksary International Film Festival. The screenplay was penned by Maxim Yermakov.
Poluganov shared his excitement about the win with "OG", stating, "It was indeed quite thrilling. To be frank, it was my first film fest ever, so everything new was like a breath of fresh air. I think the whole shebang was organized splendidly. Our film was screened on the 14th, and I was there to present it. Post-screening, I spoke a bit about the movie, and there was a lot of applause. People came up, shook my hand, and thanked me for the straight-up retelling of the story."
The next festival featuring the Bazhov Fund's work is scheduled for June 21-22 in Kazan, where the 28th International ZILANT Film Festival will unfold.
