International Equestrian Contest Spans Three Days
In the heart of Astana, now Nur-Sultan, the equestrian complex "Argymak" played host to a significant event in the world of equestrian sports. The Eurasian League Equestrian Cup Stage, 160 cm - Grand Prix, and an international dressage tournament took place, marking the capital's first international dressage tournament.
Approximately 60 top athletes from Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan participated in the competitions. Among the standout performers were Hurishidbek Alimjanov, Bekzod Kurbanov, Alina Shevtsova, Alena Derevyanko (Uzbekistan), Kamil Sabitov, Rinat Galimov, Ekaterina Karavceva (Kyrgyzstan), Kseniya Khairullina (Russia), Vigen Kostandyan (Armenia), Georgiy Tohnadze (Georgia), as well as Oleg Sokolchenko, Nurilya Turisbekova, Daihana Onegova, Bekzhan Bayzhanuly, Raisa Sokolchenko (Kazakhstan).
The events were organised under the auspices of the FEI (International Equestrian Federation), and the high level of organisation and participants did not go unnoticed. International judges praised the well-executed competitions.
In the Maxima Masters Eurasia Small Team Cup, 130 cm (2 rounds), Kazakhstan emerged victorious, with Uzbekistan in 2nd place and Kyrgyzstan in 3rd place.
The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerbol Myrzabekov, attended the official closing ceremony. In his speech, Myrzabekov emphasised the importance of such international tournaments for the development of national equestrian sports. With a prize fund of 24,000 USD, these events provided Kazakhstani athletes with an opportunity to improve their skills and vie for qualifying spots in international tournaments.
