The United States swimming team has set a new world record in the Women's 4x100m Medley Relay at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore. Regan Smith, Kate Douglass, Gretchen Walsh, and Torri Huske combined to break the previous record, finishing with a time of 3:49.34 on August 3, 2025.

The previous world record was held by the USA team, set at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with a time of 3:49.63. Australia finished second with a time of 3:52.67, while France took third place with 3:27.96. Russia and China completed the top five, finishing fourth and third respectively, with times of 3:55.17 and 3:54.77.

In other events, Leon Marchand from France won the 400m Individual Medley with a time of 4:04.73. Klim Kolesnikov from Russia clinched the title in the 50m Backstroke with a time of 23.68, while Pavel Samusenko from Russia and Peter Ketz from South Africa tied for second place with a time of 24.17.

Ilya Borodin from Russia finished third in the 400m Individual Medley with a time of 4:09.16, and Tomoya Tateishi from Japan took second place with a time of 4:08.32. The 4x100m Medley Relay was won by Russia with a time of 3:26.93.

The Women's 4x100m Medley Relay was a highly competitive event, featuring participants from Russia, France, USA, Australia, and China. The USA's record-breaking performance is sure to be a talking point in the swimming world for some time to come.
