UAE, Jordan, and International Partners Aid Gaza Strip in Operation Chivalrous Knight 3
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan, along with France, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Italy, and Spain, have launched Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, an ongoing humanitarian aid mission aimed at providing urgent assistance to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The operation, which has been active since at least July 2025, has seen over 60 airdrops and numerous land convoys delivering aid to the region. These efforts have resulted in the delivery of over 3,840 tonnes of essential supplies, including food, medical equipment, and emergency supplies.
Under the "Birds of Goodness" initiative, the UAE, Jordan, and their international partners have been dropping relief aid into the Gaza Strip to reach areas inaccessible by land due to security challenges. Recent medical aid shipments included 65 tonnes of critical medicines distributed to World Health Organization (WHO) warehouses for hospital supply in Gaza.
The UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, have held discussions about the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. The UAE's foreign minister commended Jordan's efforts in supporting the Palestinian people.
The UAE's support for the Palestinian people extends beyond direct relief efforts, as the foreign minister stated. The country is also engaged in continuous political and diplomatic action to aid the region.
The operation emphasizes multi-sectoral support, targeting the most affected and vulnerable communities amid ongoing conflict and limited ground access. The aim is to provide lifesaving food, medical aid, shelter, and educational support to the Gaza populations.
