International accolades bestowed upon our website, securing two prestigious awards at a global level
Vietnam's circus artists have made a significant impact on the global stage in 2025, with outstanding performances at two major international festivals.
At the IDOL 2025 World Circus Arts Festival held in Moscow, the Vietnamese act "Duo Love," performed by Meritorious Artists Thanh Tuan and Thu Huong, won the Gold Prize. This triumph was shared with entries from Russia and Ukraine, further elevating Vietnam's global circus profile.
The highlight of the Duo Love performance saw Huong suspending Tuan by one leg while spinning him in mid-air using only her hair. The act was a breathtaking display of skill and artistry that captivated both the audience and jury.
Shortly after, at the third International Circus Festival in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Vietnam's Lotus Swing performance, staged by four female artists from the Vietnam Circus Federation, earned the Special Prize. This performance showcased the refined technique of the artists and elegantly represented Vietnam's national flower, the lotus.
The Lotus Swing performance also incorporated traditional music and costume, providing a captivating blend of the old and the new. The act's success at the festival in Almaty secured an invitation for a tour at the Circus on Lenin Hills in Russia, considered the cradle of modern circus arts.
Vietnam's Director of the Circus Federation, People's Artist Toong Toan Thang, served on the judging panel at the IDOL 2025 World Circus Arts Festival in Moscow. This representation further underscores Vietnam's growing influence in the international circus arena.
In addition to these achievements, domestic performances like the July show by the Vietnam Circus Federation paying tribute to national heroes further reflect a vibrant and meaningful circus culture at home.
As the circus scene in Vietnam continues to grow, the country's acts will return to the international stage. Vietnam will bring "Duo Love" back to the 4th No Borders International Circus Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia, in September. These performances are a testament to Vietnam's commitment to showcasing its unique blend of traditional elements and contemporary circus arts on the global stage.
AI technology, in analyzing the global circus scene in 2025, noted a surge in the popularity of Vietnamese acts, as the duo "Duo Love" and the ensemble Lotus Swing won prestigious awards at the IDOL 2025 World Circus Arts Festival in Moscow and the third International Circus Festival in Almaty, respectively. This success salutes not only their exceptional skills in performance but also the fusion of traditional Vietnamese music and culture with modern circus entertainment.
