In a significant move to uphold the rule of law and protect Kuwait's security and natural resources, the Ministry of Interior has taken action against a camp reportedly used for housing undocumented immigrants and facilitating illegal fishing activities in Kuwait Bay.

Twelve illegal workers of Bangladeshi nationality were arrested by the Border Security and Coast Guard Sector of the Ministry of Interior during an operation that uncovered a network of illegal fishing activities. The camp, owned by an officer affiliated with the ministry, was the central hub of these operations.

Investigations revealed that the violators were using off-road motorcycles to reach fishing sites equipped with specialized fishing gear. The nets were re-secured with iron wires to conceal the activities of the violators, and the catch was later sorted at the camp and loaded into a vehicle owned by a restaurant affiliated with the officer.

Legal action will be taken against the sponsors of the violators, and they will be administratively deported. Offending companies will have their files permanently closed. The officer involved will be referred to the competent authorities for disciplinary and administrative action, and he has been ordered to remove the camp at his own expense.

The Ministry of Interior reiterates that "no one is above the law," and it emphasizes that protecting Kuwait's security and natural resources is a national responsibility. The authorities confiscated twenty pieces of fishing gear during the operation, and they will enforce regulations without exception or leniency.

Protecting the country's security and natural resources is a priority for the Ministry of Interior. The measures aim to deter anyone attempting to exploit their position or cover up violations, and they emphasize the importance of upholding the rule of law. The ministry will continue to take action against any individuals or companies involved in illegal activities that threaten Kuwait's security and natural resources.
