Inter Milan Secures Champions League Win Amidst San Siro Redevelopment Plans

Inter Milan secured a 2-0 victory over Slavia Prague in the Champions League. The win comes amidst the club's plans to purchase and redevelop the iconic San Siro stadium with city rivals AC Milan.

Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring for Inter Milan following a blunder by Slavia Prague's goalkeeper. The Argentinian striker then doubled the lead with a strike assisted by Marcus Thuram. Denzel Dumfries sealed the win with a goal in a swift counterattack.

Under the guidance of new coach Cristian Chivu, Inter Milan has been in impressive form, winning four consecutive matches across all competitions. The team's recent performances have been bolstered by the acquisition of Dumfries, who has made a significant impact since joining from PSV Eindhoven.

The victory over Slavia Prague keeps Inter Milan's Champions League campaign on track. Meanwhile, the club's plans to buy and redevelop the San Siro with AC Milan are progressing. The sale must be finalised by November 10 to avoid a building protection order, with the two teams aiming to build a new stadium before demolishing the historic San Siro.
