Inter Laupheim, currently leading the pack, is the preferred team.
FC Inter Laupheim, the runners-up in the previous season, have set their sights on the championship as they gear up for the new season. The Schwäbische Zeitung's master survey during the summer break saw Inter Laupheim receive the most votes, indicating a strong support base and high expectations.
The team has made significant changes to their squad during the off-season, with two departures and nine new additions, including the new co-player trainer Ahmet Kayhan, who joined from Türkspor Ehingen along with four other players. These new additions could potentially bolster Inter's chances, especially in key positions. However, the integration of new players and how quickly the team gels tactically will be crucial.
Inter's optimism is not dampened by the defeat in the first round of the district cup against SGM Aepfingen/Baltringen. Sporting director Ismet Mutlu stated that the survey result is an honor but does not guarantee a championship. He also expressed confidence that the team will be better staffed for the first game.
Inter will face stiff competition from SV Erolzheim and SGM Ummendorf/Fischbach II, each of which received one vote in the survey. These rival teams, especially Erolzheim with two votes, will provide a strong challenge for top spots. If SV Erolzheim and SGM Ummendorf/Fischbach II have maintained a stable squad or strengthened their lineup, Inter may face tough competition for the top spots.
Five teams have joined the Kreisliga B IV this season: Uttenweiler II/Bussen, SGM Rißtal, SGM Gutenzell/Schöneburg II (relegated from the A-Liga), and two teams from the Kreisliga B III. These newcomers will add an extra layer of unpredictability to the season.
The first matchday of the new season is on 24th August. FC Inter Laupheim will host SGM Schemmerhofen II/Altheim/Ingerkingen/Schemmerberg Risstal for the season opener. Other notable matches include SGM Mittelbiberach/Stafflangen II vs. SGM Ummendorf/Fischbach II, SGM Gutenzell/Schöneburg II vs. SGM Uttenweiler II/Bussen, and SGM Sießen/Wain vs. SGM Mettenberg/Rissegg. SV Baustetten II, who have to cope with the most departures in the league, will play against SV Erolzheim, while SGM Mittelbuch/Ringschnait II will face off against SV Baustetten II's second team.
In addition to FC Inter Laupheim, SGM Sießen/Wain and SGM Eberhardzell/Unterschwarzach II each have seven new additions. Eberhardzell/Unterschwarzach II welcomes Manuel Ringeis as the new head coach, replacing Stefan Ott. Armin Pfender, the former co-trainer, takes over from Radu Daniel Armencea at SGM Uttenweiler II/Bussen.
As the new season approaches, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how these changes will impact the teams' performances. While FC Inter Laupheim has made no statement as the only one in the point for championship favorite, their optimism and strategic moves suggest a strong push for the top spot. The first matchday will provide a clearer picture of the teams' readiness and the season's trajectory.
