Leipzig - After a brief romantic fling with foreign coaches, it seems the city's favorite club, RB Leipzig, is considering reuniting with one of their own. Marco Rose may have fit Leipzig like a glove, but the club's leadership is now seeking fresh blood. With Cesc Fàbregas and Jacob Neestrup turning down the offer, it appears a new, familiar face is being considered.
Röhl, a native of Zwickau, has maintained his ties to Leipzig despite his time in England. His family remains in the city, making it their home base.
"Leipzig holds a special place for me. I've witnessed the club's growth from the beginning," Röhl said at the "Kick den Krebs" charity tournament to the MDR. He added with a cryptic grin, "This off-season has been quite challenging for me, with a lot of back-and-forth. But football is football, and I'm just excited for the preseason, wherever it may lead."

Röhl, who once worked as a co-trainer and video analyst for RB Leipzig, is no stranger to the club's structures and personnel. With his style of play and man-management skills impressing the club, a collaboration doesn't seem out of reach.
Moreover, Röhl has expressed an interest in returning to his hometown club. "I'm ambitious and seeking the next step in my development," he said, with a contract with Sheffield Wednesday extending until 2027.
