Intensified Security Operations: 934 Infractions Identified and 36 Individuals Detained Throughout Kuwait

On Thursday, July 31, 2025, the Ministry of Interior launched a comprehensive traffic and security campaign on Kuwait's main roads and highways. The operation, initiated under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, aimed to enhance road safety and enforce laws equally 1[2].

The campaign, which is ongoing, has resulted in 934 violations issued and 36 arrests. The agencies involved in the operation include the Traffic and Operations Sector of the General Traffic Department, the Directorate-General of Emergency Police, and the Private Security Affairs Sector 3.

The campaign targeted not only violators of traffic laws but also those who disregarded residency and labor laws. As a result, 12 individuals were arrested for such violations. Three juveniles were caught driving without a license, and six individuals were arrested for lacking valid proof of identity 4.

In addition, two individuals were found in possession of suspected drugs and intoxicants. One person was arrested in an abnormal state, and one person reported absconding. One person was referred to precautionary detention, and nine individuals were wanted for other crimes 5.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef emphasised the need for intensified nationwide efforts to track down wanted individuals. The ministry urged citizens and residents to cooperate with security forces and report any suspicious activities or violations 6.

The ministry also emphasised that similar campaigns will continue in the future to maintain a safe and secure environment for all. The campaign is being conducted on Kuwait's main roads and highways and will continue daily in high-traffic areas 7.
