Intense Turmoil in Ukraine: "Whatever is moving is being targeted"

In the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Russian guided bombs hit the city of Kherson, injuring four people, including a three-year-old child. The attack caused significant damage to the railway and power grid.

Meanwhile, fighting is escalating in Donbas, with combat taking place in the city centers of Pokrovsk and Kharkiv. In Kharkiv, civilians, soldiers in uniform, and fighters in civilian clothing are barely distinguishable, raising concerns about a breach of international humanitarian law.

Elsewhere, Russian troops are under pressure north of Dobropillia and are attacking Yampol, a strategically important location.

Political shifts are also taking place, with Dmitri Kosak, a long-time ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, resigning or being ousted from his position. Kosak had repeatedly warned against the war and advocated for negotiations with Ukraine. His successor in the Russian government, who worked alongside Putin since the 1990s and organized the Sochi Winter Olympics, is yet to be named.

Internationally, discussions about support for Kyiv are ongoing. King Charles III, during a state banquet in Windsor, reminded US President Donald Trump of the support for Ukraine. However, Trump expressed doubts about further aid to Ukraine, showing sympathy for Russia.

As the conflict enters its 1303rd day, the situation remains tense and uncertain. The people of Ukraine continue to endure the hardships of war, and the international community watches closely, hoping for a peaceful resolution.
