If you happen to be in the region of Thuringia, buckle up! The German Weather Service (DWD) warns us about an unpleasant weather situation that's brewing and ain't gonna pass until the end of the week.
Wednesday isn't gonna start too bad. But don't relax just yet! Around midday, a low pressure system will roll in, saying goodbye to the calm and moving in the direction of Thunderstorm Valley (err, make that Eichsfeld, Nordhausen, Kyffhäuserkreis, and Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis). The rest of the day expects a downpour of up to 25 liters per square meter,, some fierce storm gusts hitting 80 kilometers per hour, and those pesky thunderstorms with hail. It's gonna feel like a sauna, with temperatures fluctuating between 21 and 25 degrees. At night, chill out, cause that storm front will be clearing out Eastward.
The same awful weather continued on Thursday and Friday. Prepare for thunderstorms during the day and some calm at night. On Thursday, it'll cool down to 18 to 23 degrees, while Friday will heat up a bit, reaching a toasty 24 degrees. Rain, wind, thunderstorms will weaken slightly, but you best believe they ain't gonna let go of Thuringia just yet!
