Intense Storms and Searing Temperatures Ahead: Meteorologists Warn About Kazakhstan's Weather Condition

Across Kazakhstan, weather conditions are set to vary significantly on July 13, 2025, with a mix of extreme heatwaves and thunderstorms predicted in different regions.

In the north and east, regions such as East Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan can expect thunderstorms, hail, and squalls, accompanied by northwesterly winds with gusts of up to 20 meters per second. The southeast faces a high fire threat due to these unstable conditions.

The southwest and south regions will experience extreme heat, with temperatures ranging from 39 to 44°C and 40 to 43°C respectively.

In the southeast, temperatures will be between 35 and 38°C, and the region faces a high fire threat.

The south of the country, including the Turkestan Region, is expected to reach extreme heat of up to 40°C in the afternoon.

Moving towards the west, regions such as Kostanay, Kokshetau, and Oral can expect variable cloudiness, with northerly winds and gusts of up to 20 meters per second in some areas. These regions will also face high fire danger, particularly in the southwest for Kostanay.

In the center, regions such as Pavlodar, Semey, and Akmola can expect thunderstorms and hail, particularly in the north, south, and center. Winds from the northwest are expected, with gusts of up to 20 meters per second.

The cities of Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktau, and Atyrau are all set to experience variable cloudiness, with no precipitation, and temperatures ranging from +12 to +14°C to +37 to +39°C.

In the southwest, the Mangystau Region is expected to experience extreme heat of 38-40°C and extreme fire danger on July 13.
