The North German Championships, held at Hamburg's Jahnkampfbahn, witnessed a series of impressive performances by LG Osnabrück athletes. The team showcased their strength, particularly in the 400m track events, where they secured multiple wins and personal bests.

Tom Spierenburg made headlines by improving his long jump record, leaping an impressive 6.70m. In the 400m race, Dominik Köpke bettered his personal best time to 50.00 sec, while Konstantin Hans broke the 52-second barrier for the first time as a U18 athlete.

Matthias Apel, a rising talent, demonstrated his prowess in the 1.500m U18 race. Apel set a remarkable time of 72 seconds for the last 500m, ultimately winning the race. His impressive final round secured his victory, marking another success for LG Osnabrück.

Nina Gründel and Merle Böttcher also had a successful outing, achieving personal bests in their respective events. Mika Pikutzki, after a premature exit at the German Youth Championships, made a strong comeback, finishing as runner-up in the 800m men's race with a new city record time of 1:53.25 min.

Andre Rohling continued his winning streak, securing his third 800m title at the North German Championships. Robin Zernick finished eighth in the same race. Nevio Völkel struggled with a not entirely competition-ready high jump setup, finishing fourth.

The long-distance sprinters from Sportpark Gretesch put up a commendable performance despite the absence of LG aces Kroll and Dammermann.

Marie Zepter also broke the 57-second mark for the first time in ten years in the 400m race, adding another milestone to the successful run of LG Osnabrück athletes at the North German Championships.
