News Article: Diverse Weather Conditions Forecasted for Kazakhstan in Early August 2025

Kazakhstan is bracing for a diverse range of weather conditions in early August 2025, according to the latest forecasts. The country will experience a mix of heatwaves, thunderstorms, hail, and rain, with regional variations in wind and precipitation conditions.

In the north and east, regions such as Akmola, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, and East Kazakhstan are expected to see above-normal rainfall, thunderstorms, hail, and cooler temperatures, mostly below +30°C. Winds in these areas can be strong, with gusts reaching up to 20 m/s in places like Astana.

On the other hand, western and southern regions, including Atyrau, Aktobe, Mangystau, Kyzylorda, Turkistan, and Zhetysu, are experiencing heatwaves with daytime temperatures reaching up to +43°C. Dust storms are also forecasted in areas such as Kyzylorda and Turkistan.

Central regions like Almaty and Abai areas are facing extreme heat, with temperatures of +36°C to +42°C. In some mountain areas, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected. Winds can be gusty, reaching up to 13 m/s or higher.

The Ulutau region will experience a mix of sun and scattered thunderstorms, with daytime highs around +34°C.

Fire danger is heightened in zones with extreme heat and strong winds, particularly in southern, southeastern, and eastern Kazakhstan, where temperature anomalies are forecasted to be 6 to 10°C above normal, reaching daily maximums of 35 to 45°C. The combination of high temperatures, strong winds, and dry conditions increases wildfire risk in these regions.

Residents in affected areas are advised to take precautions against heat stress, secure outdoor objects against strong winds, and stay alert for thunderstorm and fire warnings. A dust storm is possible in southwestern regions, and high fire danger is expected in Abai, western and northern Pavlograd, western West Kazakhstan, northern Karaganda, and northeastern Mangystau regions.

In the south of West Kazakhstan region, temperatures will reach up to +35...+36°C. Morning and evening fog is expected in northern and central regions, and heavy rain and hail are expected in northern and eastern regions.

Overall, August 2025 in Kazakhstan will see a range from scorching heat (up to +43°C in some regions) to thunderstorms, hail, dust storms, and rain, with regional variations in wind and precipitation conditions. It is crucial for residents to stay informed and prepared for these changing weather conditions.

Environmental scientists predict a sudden shift in weather patterns across Kazakhstan in early August 2025, with the science of meteorology suggesting that the country will experience an unprecedented mix of heatwaves, thunderstorms, hail, and rain, impacting various regions differently.
