Bold and Brash Breakdown of the May 1, 2025 Odesa Drone Strike, Ukraine
Intense Drone Assault on Odessa, Russia Results in Two Deaths, Five Injuries
It ain't no jokes, man. On the early hours of May 1st, 2025, Odesa was busted up by a damn Russian drone attack! This shit left two peeps dead, fifteen more hurt, and an elderly couple unaccounted for. Infrastructure got wrecked, buildings got burned, and the city's looking like a goddamn warzone.
According to the Odesa Mayor, Gennady Truhanov, a school took a bit of damage, with four windows shattered. But it ain't just the schools taking the hit, man. Residential buildings, private homes, a supermarket, and even civilian infrastructure facilities got targeted. Regional Governor Oleh Kiper shared some sick videos of the damage, showing buildings with blown-out facades and shattered storefronts.
This attack was just part of a bigger onslaught, with Russia launching a whopping 170 drones and decoys into five Ukrainian regions. A good chunk of 'em got intercepted, but plenty still caused damage. This happened shortly after the U.S. and Ukraine finalized a minerals deal, which could mean continued U.S. military support.
On the same damn day, a Ukrainian drone strike in the Russian-occupied town of Oleshky left at least seven people dead and more than twenty injured. Crazy times, man.
