In the central Gaza Strip on September 18, 2025, displaced Palestinians are moving southwards, forced to leave their homes due to renewed Israeli evacuation orders for Gaza City. This mass displacement comes in response to the ongoing Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip, which has claimed the lives of 3,542 people, according to the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip.

The distribution of these martyrs suggests a deliberate targeting of Gaza City and the north, with 1,984 martyrs from northern Gaza and 1,558 from central and southern areas. The average number of daily deaths during the offensive was approximately 93.

An unspecified entity has issued a statement accusing Israel of a systematic policy of genocide through mass killings, widespread destruction, and forced displacement. The statement does not provide concrete evidence to support these claims, but it accuses Israel of violating international humanitarian law, Geneva Conventions, and relevant UN resolutions.

The Israeli offensive has not spared the central and southern regions, which were claimed to be safe humanitarian zones. On September 18, 2025, displaced Palestinians are seen fleeing bombardment in Al-Shati camp for Palestinian refugees west of Gaza City.

In response to these allegations, Spain has announced an investigation into potential human rights violations and possible genocide by Israel in the Gaza Strip. The Spanish Attorney General Álvaro García Ortiz has ordered this investigation, with a high-level working group to be established to collect evidence. However, no specific start date for this investigation has been given.

The statement calls on the international community, the United Nations, and the International Criminal Court to stop Israel's genocidal crimes and hold its leaders accountable as war criminals. In the central and southern regions, 1,558 people were martyred, indicating a comprehensive and intentional targeting against civilians and their shelters.

As the situation in the Gaza Strip continues to unfold, the international community is urged to take action and uphold the principles of international law and human rights.
