Artist Laurent Grasso's Works Available for Sale
The Marcel Duchamp Prize, an annual award for contemporary art, has previously been bestowed upon artists such as Laurent Grasso, Saadane Afif, and Cyprien Gaillard. Now, Grasso's works are available for purchase.
Grasso has a set of 3 signed posters with dimensions 70 x 175 Cm, priced at $500 each. Additionally, he offers two more 'Studies into the past (Signed poster)' with dimensions 60 x 60 Cm, priced at $180 each, and another with dimensions 50 x 60 Cm, also priced at $180.
Besides these, Grasso has other works available. 'Studies into the past (Anima)' measures 31.2 x 31.2 Cm and is priced at $720. 'Studies into the past (Miracle)' has dimensions 29.2 x 26.3 Cm and is priced at $330.
The Marcel Duchamp Prize, established in 2000, is destined for a French artist or an artist living in France. It recognises the most innovative artists of a generation, inspired by the work of Marcel Duchamp.
Other notable art prizes include the Turner Prize, an annual award for a British artist under the age of 50, created in 1984 and held at the Tate Gallery. The Hugo Boss Prize, awarded every other year, has no age or nationality restrictions. The winner receives $100,000 and a trophy.
The Ricard Foundation Prize is a contemporary art prize awarded annually to an artist under the age of 40. The prize consists of the acquisition of an art piece that costs at least €15,000 and is donated to the Centre Pompidou. The winner receives €35,000 as a personal prize and €30,000 for an exhibition at the Centre Pompidou.
In recent years, recipients of the Ricard Foundation Prize have included artists such as Sylvie Fleury, Pauline Boudry / Renate Lorenz, Roma Jam Session art collective, Sabian Baumann, Ursula Biemann, Susanne Sauter, and Paloma Ayala.
Since 2005, the FIAC (International Contemporary Art Fair) has been a partner of the Marcel Duchamp Prize, offering great visibility to the nominated artists.
