Insights on Avengers: The Doomsday Scenario
In an exciting turn of events for Marvel fans, the highly-anticipated film, Avengers: Doomsday, is set to hit cinemas on December 18, 2026. This fifth instalment in the Avengers series promises to be a game-changer, with Doom, the new version created by Robert Downey Jr., taking centre stage as the protagonist of his own story.

Paul Rudd, who is part of the ensemble, has teased 'jaw-dropping sets' and 'some truly incredible talent' in Avengers: Doomsday. The Russo Brothers, who have previously directed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, have called this film the biggest they've ever worked on.
Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely are penning the screenplay, while Jeffrey Ford will work as the film editor. Newton Thomas Sigel will serve as the cinematographer, and Alan Silvestri will compose the score.
In the comics, Doctor Doom is known as the King of Latveria and a long-standing rival of Reed Richards since college. The new version of Doom in Avengers: Doomsday has a backstory and costume ideas created by Robert Downey Jr.
An intriguing development suggests that Doom's appearance at the end of The Fantastic Four: First Steps could indicate that he has kidnapped a child and fled to Earth-616 in the Fantastic Four's ship.
Interestingly, the X-Men from an alternate universe are set to make an appearance in Avengers: Doomsday. However, no official poster or trailer for the film has been released yet.
The production of Avengers: Doomsday is being strongly supported by the fans, with Simu Liu teasing that Downey's portrayal of Doom will leave fans in awe. The film is expected to have a darker ending, similar to that of Avengers: Infinity War.
