In the world of radio broadcasting, there's always something new on the horizon. Here are some updates from 98.5 FM and ICI Première that you won't want to miss.

Starting from August 23, there will be some fresh faces joining the lineup on 98.5 FM. Louis Lacroix will temporarily take over the 7 am political block, while Valerie Lebœuf joins Patrick Lagacé's morning show. Jean-Michel Bourque will also be handling the sports chronicle in the morning show.

Over at ICI Première, there's a lot of excitement building for the upcoming season. Starting September 1st, Jean-Sébastien Girard will continue to host The day, and Franco Nuovo will keep his Sunday morning show. From September 7th, Jean-Sébastien Girard will gain an extra hour on Sundays with his show Jeannot's Beautiful Sunday.

Isabelle Craig will be animating The Wild Adventure on Sundays starting September 7th. This new show promises a "new window onto incredible and touching human stories." Claudia Hébert has also been appointed as the official cultural chronicler of ICI Première's morning show.

Eugénie Lépine-Blondeau takes over a new cultural show on ICI Première, Admission générale, starting Saturday, August 23, at 2 pm. Monic Néron will also be joining the station, taking over Mimosa! as the new Saturday morning appointment, starting August 23.

There's also some changes happening at ICI Première's morning show. Étienne Paré, Pierre-Yves McSween, and Chantal Hébert have returned to the show, hosted by Patrick Masbourian. Isabelle Maréchal has been given the reins of an afternoon show on 99.5 FM, between 1 pm and 3 pm.

However, there seems to be some uncertainty surrounding the future of Élisabeth Créte at 98.5 FM. Meanwhile, the agreement between 99.5 FM, owned by Leclerc Communication, and QUB, Quebecor's digital radio, is being challenged by Bell and Cogeco, who have filed a complaint with the CRTC.

As for Sophie Durocher's afternoon show, it has not been renewed on 99.5 FM. The federal body, the CRTC, will make a decision on the complaint soon. Starting August 25, 99.5 FM is reconfiguring its schedule for its second year as a spoken radio station. Mario Dumont will gain 30 minutes in the morning on 99.5 FM.

With these changes, it's an exciting time for both 98.5 FM and ICI Première. Be sure to tune in to catch all the new shows and hear the fresh voices joining the lineup.
