The Theater "BERG:KOSMOS25" is set to host a captivating modern fairy tale this weekend, with the world premiere happening on Saturday at 6 PM. The play, titled "BERG:KOSMOS25," is being hosted by THEAS Theater School and Theater e.V. located at Jakobstraße 103, 51465 Bergisch Gladbach.
Written and improvised by twelve young people aged 12 to 18, the play is a bold exploration of questions about identity, self-discovery, bullying, and loss. The play's ensemble director, Mandy Kieroth, was moved by the captivating texts written by the young authors, believing they highlight important human topics often overlooked by adults.
The play features a princess who does not want a traditional fairy tale. Princess Erika, a character in the play, is questioning her identity and her desire to get married. In the first act, she flees to the woods, where she encounters an unknown voice that asks more questions about identity.
The play does not provide answers or supportive conversations from adults for the royal offspring. Instead, it encourages the audience to think for themselves and find answers to the questions posed in the play. The play has a happy ending, but the means to achieve it are unknown.
Admission for the play is 16 Euro, and reduced tickets are available for 10 Euro. Ticket reservations can be made by email at [email protected] or by phone at 02202 / 92765015.
