In an exciting development for the football club FC Kaunitz, plans for the construction of new tribune containers have been presented by entrepreneur Michael Beckhoff. The project, estimated to cost approximately 154,000 euros, will see the club's home ground transformed, marking a significant step in the club's history.

The visionary behind the project, Michael Beckhoff, has developed the tribune containers himself, meticulously researching building regulations and norms to ensure a successful outcome. The new tribune will be constructed using container technology and will be equipped with a protective roof module, providing much-needed shelter for spectators.

The proposed tribune is set to be a unique seated and standing structure, designed to accommodate 60 covered seated and 70 covered standing spectators. This move is aimed at improving the spectator experience, particularly in terms of protection from rain and heat, a feature that is currently lacking in the Westphalia League.

FC Kaunitz's promotion to the Westphalia League, the biggest news in the club's history, has undoubtedly fuelled the enthusiasm for this project. The club anticipates increased spectator attendance for home games and events in the upcoming year, making the new tribune a vital addition.

The city sports association has already approved a first application for a 20% subsidy, amounting to around 32,000 euros. In addition, FC Kaunitz has applied for an additional subsidy of up to 50,000 euros from the city. However, the proposal has raised concerns among some city councillors, with Susanne Jasper (CDU) expressing significant reservations.

Despite these concerns, the club is actively seeking to win further supporters to potentially reduce the subsidy amount from the city. In a show of community spirit, entrepreneurs in the Verl business community have pledged 35,000 euros for the project. FC Kaunitz has also pledged to contribute around 20,000 euros in kind to the project, further demonstrating the club's commitment.

Wigbert Erichlandwehr, the club's chairman, expressed optimism, hoping that work can begin as early as next winter, "so that we can benefit from it in the Rückserie." Georg Hansmeier (FDP) emphasized the importance of ensuring the project is not delayed. Hedwig Rottmann (SPD) also voiced her hope that the amount can still be reduced.

Upon completion, the tribunes will become the property of the city, a testament to the collaborative effort between the club, the community, and the local government. The new tribune containers are set to redefine the spectator experience for FC Kaunitz, further cementing the club's place in the Westphalia League.

The project's architect, Andreas Nienhaus, decided to develop the tribune containers himself because existing products did not meet his requirements for modularity, mobility, and sustainability. The new tribune is set to be a shining example of innovative design, meeting the needs of both the club and the spectators.
