Inka Bause Ponders Leaving "Bauer sucht Frau" for a New Adventure
After nearly two decades as the beloved host of "Bauer sucht Frau" on RTL, Inka Bause considers her future on the popular matchmaking show. Despite her dedicated commitment to helping lonely farmers find love, Bause muses about venturing into new territories, comparing her situation to a marriage that she can choose to leave whenever she wants.
"Year after year, I find out if I'm still allowed to present the show," Bause revealed in a recent interview with Teleschau, according to the "Weser Kurier." "I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm not a person who feels obligated to stay because of a marriage."
Even though Bause ponders whether her time on "Bauer sucht Frau" may be coming to an end, she shares her enthusiasm for the new season starting Monday at 8:15 PM. She is eager to meet the new farmers, expressing her fascination towards their stories, as she always has for the past 19 years.
"I'm just as curious about these people I'm getting to know as the viewers are. Every year, I'm surprised by the amazing people I meet. What different, even complicated, funny oddballs. It never gets boring," Bause said in the RTL interview.
Given that Bause is still actively involved in the show, fans need not worry about the imminent departure of their beloved TV matchmaker. In fact, should "Bauer sucht Frau" come to a conclusion, Bause is set to embrace a new chapter in her life and focus more on her music and personal life.
