Injury to the Achilles tendon sustained during a friendly match in Dubai may cause Mam Jaiteh to miss a significant portion of the Euroleague season.

Dubai's basketball team is facing a setback as their centre, Mam Jaiteh, has sustained an Achilles tendon injury during a friendly match against CSKA Moscow. The exact timeline for his recovery and return to the court is yet to be determined.

Jaiteh's absence comes at a challenging time for Dubai, as the EuroLeague competition is currently ongoing. Despite this setback, Dubai has not yet commented on the length of Jaiteh's absence or announced a replacement for the upcoming games.

Prior to this injury, Jaiteh had a successful run with the French national team during the Euro campaign. He was a key player for the team, being one of the few true centres in the squad. The French national team, however, was eliminated in the round of 16 of the Euro campaign, losing to Georgia (70-80).

Jaiteh's departure from the French team marks the end of a successful Euro campaign for him. He played a crucial role in the team's games, contributing significantly to their performance.

Following two seasons with Monaco, Jaiteh joined Dubai's roster this summer. There is currently no available information on who will replace him if he misses most of the 2025-2026 season, and Dubai has not hired a substitute player as of yet.

As Jaiteh recovers from his injury, Dubai will need to find a way to navigate the EuroLeague competition without their key centre. The team will undoubtedly strive to maintain their performance and continue their success in the competition.
