Injured player Tikvic, fresh to KSC's team, goes missing following Prussia Münster game encounter
In a disappointing turn of events for Preußen Münster, their record signing, Antonio Tikvic, sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during a match against Karlsruhe, which will keep him sidelined for several months.
The injury occurred just a few minutes after Tikvic came on as a substitute in the match, confirmed around early August 2025. The recovery timeline for an ACL tear typically extends over several months, often around 6 to 9 months, depending on the severity and rehabilitation progress.
Tikvic, who was signed by Preußen Münster a few days earlier from English second-tier side FC Watford, will now have to focus on his recovery, leaving a gap in the team's defence. To fill this void, Preußen Münster has signed Jannis Heuer as a replacement for Tikvic.
The match between Preußen Münster and Karlsruhe ended with a 2:3 loss for Münster, despite their efforts to equalise. The Karlsruhe side secured the victory with goals from Louey Ben Farhat (7'), Marvin Wanitzek (22'), and Lilian Egloff (88'), while Preußen Münster managed to score through Etienne Amenyido (32') and Lars Lokotsch (80').
Notably, Egloff was shown a yellow card for a foul on Tikvic, but no further information was provided about who committed the initial foul that led to Tikvic's injury. In another development, Niko Koulis was sent off for a foul on Ben Farhat and will face a suspension for two games.
As a result, Preußen Münster will have to play at least one game without both Tikvic and Koulis. The club and its fans will be hoping for a speedy recovery for Tikvic and a strong performance from the team in his absence.

In light of the injury, Preußen Münster might consider exploring other sports or European leagues for potential replacements during Tikvic's recovery period. With the departure of Tikvic, the team's defense now desperately needs a player familiar with European-leagues football to fill the void left by the injured defender.
