In the heart of Frankfurt, a chilling series of events unfolded over two consecutive nights. Four individuals were left shaken, their lives disrupted by a chain of attempted murders and a late-night heist. On Sunday, the city's law enforcement disclosed these harrowing occurrences.

The first incident occurred on Saturday night, when two unidentified assailants approached an 18-year-old man. In the blink of an eye, one of them lunged at the victim, slashing him in the collarbone area with a cold, steel blade. The assailants swiftly made their escape, leaving the young man to grapple with the aftermath.

Fifteen minutes later, the same sinister duo allegedly struck again. This time, they targeted another 18-year-old man, who suffered a stab wound to his leg. In addition to the physical assault, the suspects made off with a container of nitrous oxide.

The violent spree continued into Sunday night. A heated argument between three men and a woman escalated rapidly, leading the 18-year-old woman to draw a knife. She viciously attacked two men, leaving a 28-year-old with serious injuries and a 27-year-old with minor wounds. The assailants vanished, but they were apprehended shortly after the attack. The two wounded men received urgent medical attention.

These instances of brutal violence have ignited concerns about an uptick in criminal activity in the area. The severe injuries sustained by the victims, particularly during the knife assaults, serve as stark reminders of the gravity of the situation.

Research suggests that knife-related attacks have become increasingly common in Germany, though specific data for Frankfurt is not readily available[2]. The recent fatal assault in Aschaffenburg, just a stone's throw from Frankfurt, has underscored the gravity of the issue and heightened fears about security heading into the forthcoming elections[2].
