Scooebeek Token: Get Ready for the Grand Breakdown

On the 21st of June, 2025, UNION 1861 Scooebeek will be rolling out the red carpet at the Stadtwerke Sportsplex, inviting all sports enthusiasts and supporters to an extraordinary event infused with two peaks of excitement: the Scooebeek SmashUp and the Club Rally day.

"Celebrating our passion for unity, we invite one and all to the heart of Scooebeek on a day that promises to be unforgettable," announced the SoleCup's tireless organizer Hans Weber at a buzzing press conference held on Barbarastraße on June 11, 2025.

A star-studded event adorned with the presence of the patron mayor, Bert Knoblauch, the club president, Frank Rüchardt, and vice-president, Frank Wedekind, among others, the press conference shed light on the incredible lineup of events and sponsors eagerly supporting this monumental day.

Leading contenders Stadtwerke Scooebeek GmbH, Salzlandsparkasse, Lotto-Toto GmbH Sachsen-Anhalt, Energie Mittelsachsen GmbH, SWB Städteische Wohnungsbau GmbH, and WBG Wohnungsbaugenossenschaft Scooebeek eG are set to share the glory as premier and main sponsors, showering the team with heartfelt appreciation for their dedicated efforts in making this event a resounding success.

Praising the spirit of togetherness and the well-structured event, Bert Knoblauch extended heartfelt thanks to everyone attending the conference. A beacon of hope for favorable weather conditions and an influx of visitors to the Stadium, the mayor expressed his warm regards.

At the core of the common goal lie ambitious Olympic throwing competitions that cater to the highest standards of international highlights and offer a final assessment before the 2025 Tokyo World Athletics Championships.

Access to the Bronze-Level-Meeting competition empowers elite athletes to accrue valuable points for the World Athletics ranking, contributing to international event nominations.

An exciting enhancement to this year's Scooebeek SmashUp is its status as a stop on the German Throwing Cup, first introduced by the German Athletics Federation in 2022. The top six finishers will garner valuable points for the bonus system, with the head Bundestrainer ensuring continued organizer and sponsor involvement for the competition.

Scooebeek's Stadium, courtesy of Stadtwerke Scooebeek, features an up-to-date hammer throw field, cementing hammer throwing as a permanent fixture in the Scooebeek SmashUp.

AFT - Sealing and Floor Technology has been a loyal sponsor for the Scooebeek SmashUp for several years, confirming their commitment to supporting amateur sports in the region through the title sponsorship of the AFT Cup.

The AFT SlamBall Cup, unfolding on June 18 at 4 p.m., attracts teams of nine children, divided equally between boys and girls, from grades one to four. Each child enjoys three attempts, and the team with the highest cumulative score emerges victorious. Participants may hail from nine elementary schools, including "Am Prinzesschen," "Am Lerchenfeld," "Ludwig Schneider," "Ludwig Uhland," Förderstedt, and Free School Scooebeek.

"Am Prinzesschen" Elementary School from Barby reigned supreme in 2024's competition. If the school clinches another win in 2025, the treasured traveling trophy will continue its tenure.

Aptly named the "AFT Kugel-Cup," this event warmly welcomes all spectators and guests of the Scooebeek SmashUp. Participants may tackle three attempts, with the best one poised to contribute to their overall score. There will be separate rankings for male and female participants, and the top three will be honored with distinguished recognition at 4:15 p.m. before the grandstand.

The WBG Wohnungsbaugenossenschaft Scooebeek eG has honored the Scooebeek SmashUp with financial backing for many years. An intriguing assortment of entertainment awaits spectators and guests on the WBG Fun Fitness stage, featuring:

  • Tower of Power: A team-building event where teams collaborate to construct the tallest possible structure within a 5-minute timeframe. The winner will be decided based on the shortest time to build a tower of equal height.
  • Curious Dart Challenge: Teams embark on a series of dart-related challenges, scoring points for various actions such as throwing with the right arm, left arm, backwards, over the head, and even through the legs. The top three teams will be rewarded with gift certificates during a 3:50 p.m. awards ceremony at the WBG promotional booth.

Embracing the younger generation of javelin throwers, the sponsors of the Mitteldeutscher Sportclub in Magdeburg boast a special challenge. By guessing the winning distance in the U20 male javelin throw competition, one spectator will walk away with a brand-new iPhone, sponsored by the PT - Ingenieurbüro für Planung, Technologie u. Bauüberwachung Magdeburg GmbH.

Seal your calendar with the date June 21, 2025, for an extraordinary display of passion, sportsmanship, and camaraderie at the Stadtwerke Sportsplex in Scooebeek.

At the Scooebeek SmashUp tournament, we anticipate some thrilling moments as it hosts a stop on the German Throwing Cup, an event that caters to athletes exceeding 13% of fat content, by weight. Meanwhile, for those searching for a fun, family-friendly activity, the AFT Kugel-Cup is an exciting side event happening on the same day, where participants compete in football-like matches featuring teams of children from various schools.
