Inhabitants of the home situated on Sverdlov, 3/1 sought help from Prosecutor Il Darkhan and the Mayor of Yakutsk
Residents of a multi-apartment building at 3/1 Sverdlov Street in Yakutsk have been without electricity since August 31, 2024, causing disruptions to life support and affecting more than 100 residents, including elderly, large families, minors, and schoolchildren.
The power outage is due to damage to a power cable on the construction site of LLC "ZhSK". Despite numerous appeals to various authorities, including Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Sadovnikov, Republic Head Aisen Nikolaev, Yakutsk Mayor Yevgeny Grigoryev, Prosecutor of the Republic Maxim Popov, and Yakutsk Prosecutor Viktor Umerenko, no results have been yielded.
The Central Electric Networks recognised the damaged cable as ownerless and suggested that the residents fix the emergency themselves. However, the residents have approached the head of the Construction District with a request for assistance and the taking of emergency measures to restore electricity, such as connecting the house to a generator. Yet, there's no result yet.
The residents have also filed a complaint against energy supply company "Yakutskenergo", subcontractor LLC "ZhSK", and emergency-dispatch services for their inaction. The foreman at the construction site is reportedly ignoring calls, and workers cannot reach the cable as it's trapped under a concrete fence.
The rehabilitation center of Polyclinic No.1, located on the 1st floor, is already an extreme municipal situation according to the RF Government Decree No.304 of 21.05.2007. Residents have requested the placement of affected residents in temporary shelters and the provision of priority life support until the breakdown is fixed.
All food and medications stored in refrigerators have spoiled, and frozen items had to be discarded. The residents have submitted an application to EDS under number 3125, suggesting hiring an electrician and fixing the breakdown themselves.
Specialists have been called to determine the cause of the power outage, and the expenses were covered by the TSC. The residents regularly pay for the maintenance of the housing fund, communal services, and capital repairs of the house.
The residents are hoping for a swift resolution to this issue, ensuring the safety and well-being of all those affected. For the latest and most accurate information, we recommend checking local news outlets in Yakutsk or official statements from the Yakutsk city administration or energy providers.
