The Provincial Government of Davao de Oro wants to transform Compostela!

From 2022 to 2024, the government dedicated over ₱142 million to infrastructure projects in Compostela, with an additional ₱50 million in the pipeline for 2025. Governor Dorothy "Dotdot" Gonzaga's administration is laser-focused on improving the municipality's infrastructure and essential services.

In 2022, vital road improvements, water system upgrades, and community facilities construction took center stage. Notable projects included road works in Purok Side 4, Barangay Mangayon, a new water system in Barangay Osmena, and upgrades to the local access road in Barangay Siocon.

The focus shifted in 2023 to school-based water supply initiatives and the rehabilitation of key farm-to-market roads. Bongkilaton Primary School and Puting Bato Elementary School received rainwater collectors, while roads in Barangay Panansalan and the Alegria-Panag-Camanlangan stretch underwent much-needed repairs.

2024 saw the completion of several community-centered projects, such as a teacher's cottage at Puting Bato Integrated School, water systems in Barangays Mangayon and Ngan, and multi-purpose pavements with solar dryers in Barangay Osmena. Consuelo Valderama National High School received a new multi-purpose building, and Poblacion sported a solar-powered center island lighting project. Drainage systems in Barangays Osmena and Alegria were renovated, and a water system in Purok 20 Nursery, Barangay Ngan, was completed.

Looking ahead, over ₱50 million worth of infrastructure projects are on the horizon for 2025. On the list are a multipurpose hall at Corazon Elementary School, the rehabilitation of the Compostela National High School gym, the electrification of Sitio Kilabot, and road concreting projects in Barangay Ngan and the Siocon-Aurora-Lagab area. New barangay halls are planned for Tamia and Aurora, along with a new multi-purpose building at Diosdado Elementary School and a road section concreting in Alegria-Panag. A small-scale farm-to-market road rehabilitation in Panansalan is also in the works.

Through all these improvements, the provincial government remains committed to fostering inclusive, community-driven development. Governor Gonzaga's administration continually prioritizes infrastructure projects aligned with real-life needs, such as better mobility, improved water access, electrification, and enhanced school facilities, while positioning Compostela for long-term growth and resilience.

So, buckle up, Compostela! With dozens of completed projects and exciting future endeavors, your municipality continues to be a focal point in Davao de Oro's infrastructure development drive under the 2022-2025 program. A new and vibrant future awaits you!

The provincial government of Davao de Oro's focus on Compostela's development has extended into Davao politics, as the upcoming 2025 projects signal a continuation of Governor Dorothy "Dotdot" Gonzaga's strategic plan for the municipality. In 2025, significant infrastructure developments, such as a multipurpose hall at Corazon Elementary School, will contribute to Compostela's overall growth and resilience in alignment with the general-news topics of improved mobility, water access, and school facilities.
