As the Bundesliga gears up for a new season, top clubs Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig are zeroing in on potential trainers, with former pro Cesc Fabregas in the mix. After some secretive comments, the Spanish veteran is generating a buzz.
In a surprising 3:1 win over Cagliari, Fabregas coached his Italian Serie A team Como, saying, "Whatever happens, I'll always be grateful for what this club has given me. I'm extremely proud of what we've built here. I intend to leave a mark when I leave. The person who follows me will inherit a strong club."
With his 2010 World Cup win and two European titles under his belt, Fabregas was a leading player before stepping into coaching.
