Industriestraße braces for major roadworks and traffic disruptions ahead
Major roadworks are set to begin on Industriestraße, affecting traffic and parking in the area. The project will start with utility line installation, followed by full road reconstruction. Several nearby streets will also see similar work, leading to temporary closures and changes to public transport.
Construction will kick off with utility line installation along Industriestraße, running from Anrather Straße to the end of the development zone. The same stretch will later undergo road reconstruction. Additional utility and roadworks will extend to Stettiner Straße, Stralsunder Straße, and Kösliner Straße along their full lengths.
All affected sections will close completely to vehicles during the project. However, pedestrians will still be able to pass through. Parking will be banned along Industriestraße, but temporary spaces will open at its northern end to ease disruption. Bus services will also face adjustments. The stops on Stettiner Straße, Lauenburger Straße, and Wegerhofstraße will close, with a temporary replacement set up at the corner of Wegerhofstraße and Marseillestraße. Waste collection will continue as normal, using designated drop-off points and offering assistance where needed. Local emergency services have been informed of the works and will adapt their response plans accordingly. Once all underground and roadwork is finished, a final asphalt layer will be laid across the entire construction zone.
The project will bring temporary traffic restrictions, parking changes, and bus stop relocations. Residents and commuters are advised to check with municipal authorities for the latest updates on road closures and alternative routes. The final asphalt layer will mark the completion of the upgrades.
