Indore's airport soars to 3rd in India's passenger amenities rankings for 2025

Indore's Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport has jumped from 10th to 3rd place in India's passenger amenities rankings for 2025. The facility scored 4.92 out of 5 in the latest Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey, marking a significant improvement. Sunil Maggirwar, the airport's director, was also recognised during the Airports Authority of India's 31st annual celebrations.

The airport's rise in the rankings follows a strong performance across nearly all measured areas. Out of 31 parameters in the ASQ survey, it improved in 30, with only a minor dip in passport staff behaviour. Its overall score increased by 0.10 points compared to 2024, placing it just behind Goa (4.93) and Pune (4.94) among Indian airports.

The ASQ survey assesses 98 airports worldwide, including 16 in India and 18 in the Asia-Pacific region, each handling over 1.8 million passengers annually. Indore's climb of seven positions reflects its consistent efforts to enhance passenger experience. The airport had previously been named the best in the under-2-million-passenger category for the Asia-Pacific region in 2017. Authorities now aim to push Indore's airport to the top spot in India—and eventually globally—by 2026.

With a score of 4.92, Indore's airport stands as one of the highest-rated in the country. The improvements across key service areas suggest a focused drive for quality. Officials remain committed to further upgrades as they target the leading position in future rankings.
