Good news for travelers! As of May 16, citizens from 17 additional countries will be eligible for visa-free entry to Georgia. This decision was made in a government resolution dated April 17, signed by Irakli Kobakhidze. The lucky nations are:

- Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
- State of Eritrea

- Republic of Côte d'Ivoire

- Kingdom of Morocco
- Federal Republic of Nigeria
- Islamic Republic of Pakistan
- Federal Republic of Somalia
- Syrian Arab Republic
- Republic of the Sudan
- United Republic of Tanzania
- Republic of Uganda
What's more, these travelers must possess valid multiple-entry visas or residence permits from the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, or the Sultanate of Oman for their entry to Georgia. The visa or residence permit should be valid for at least a year from the date of crossing the Georgian border.
It's important to note that Georgia has already been offering visa-free entry to 96 countries since 2015, with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the People's Republic of China being added to the list in 2017 and 2023, respectively.
