Individual shelled out $100,000 for a hotel's video footage.

In the latest twist in Sean "Diddy" Combs' (55) ongoing trial, a hotel security guard, Eddy Garcia, claims that the rapper handed over a staggering $100,000 for a distressing video from 2016. The footage, which allegedly shows Combs assaulting his then-partner, Cassie Ventura (38), was previously brought to light in the trial.

The peculiar tale unfolds as Garcia testified before the court, revealing that Combs had approached him multiple times, expressing concern over the potential damage the video could inflict on his career. In a casual conversation, Combs allegedly referred to Garcia as an "angel," expressing gratitude for his assistance in suppressing the video.

Garcia initially claimed he couldn't access the video, but soon contacted Combs when his superior announced they'd delete it for $50,000. Combs, apparently relieved, reportedly thanked Garcia, calling him his "angel." The following day, the rapper met Garcia personally and received a USB stick containing the video, supposedly the only copy. He also reportedly signed confidentiality agreements.

Furthermore, Garcia disclosed that the payment was not only made to him but also split among his superior and a colleague. Combs reportedly paid $50,000 to the superior, $20,000 to the colleague, and $30,000 to Garcia.

It's important to note that Ventura has already testified against Combs, painting a harrowing picture of a violent and manipulative relationship. She alleged that Combs' violent tendencies were so severe that she felt compelled to comply with his demands to avoid escalating the situation.

In the trial, Combs is currently facing charges of sex trafficking, extortion, and promoting prostitution, among other allegations. The trial, which began in early May 2024, continues to make headlines due to the severity of the charges and the involvement of a high-profile celebrity.
