Individual apprehended in court for robbery allegations, as the spouse of Andre Onana reported the theft of a £62,000 handbag and gold Rolex watch outside an Alderley Edge dining establishment.
A 25-year-old chap named Liam Ross, hailing from Bradford's Wibsey district, has found himself in hot water for snatching a pricey Hermès Birkin handbag worth £62,000, along with a gold Rolex watch, from Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana's wife, Melanie Kamayou, in a street robbery that took place outside an upscale Italian restaurant in Cheshire's posh village of Alderley Edge. This swanky locale is known for being a popular hangout for Premier League players.
The incident unfolded in the restaurant's car park at around 10PM on March 29, 2025. Ross is also charged with dealing class B drugs, specifically cannabis. Recently, he appeared via videolink at Chester Crown Court, where he only confirmed his name and no pleas were entered. Judge Patrick Thompson set a provisional trial date for the week commencing September 22, and Ross was remanded in custody. He will next appear at a plea and trial preparation hearing on June 9.
Ms. Kamayou, who describes herself as a pharmacist, businesswoman, and philanthropist, is frequently spotted on social media showcasing her glamorous life with Onana.
